With less than five weeks to go in my pregnancy, I’m trying to soak in every last minute with this belly. As funny as it may sound, after my son was born, I actually missed it…for weeks afterward. Don’t get me wrong, I loved my new baby like crazy, but couldn’t help but feel a little nostalgic for that bump. It had become such a part of me for nine months and then just like that it was gone! (Well not really…..as any mama knows, that stubborn mid-section sticks around for quite some time….I don’t miss that)

Looking back at my first pregnancy I wish I had taken more pictures of my growing belly throughout its many stages. This time around, however, there is no excuse for not documenting the whole experience. First, because of this blog, and second, because I recently discovered a creative new app that allows you to take a “Bumpfie” (bump-selfie) every day of your pregnancy.  Thyme Maternity recently launched their free #BumpfieApp to help moms-to-be document their entire pregnancy experience from bump to baby. Not only can you take daily selfies and turn them into a fun, animated video that can be shared with friends and family, you also get weekly updates and fun comparisons on baby’s growth. This week my 36 week-old baby is the approximate size of a papaya. Every week is a new fruit or veggie comparison – love that!  So be sure to start taking your daily bumpfies, and see the amazing transformation your body takes throughout these miraculous (and ever-so-quick) nine months.
