I’m so happy to finally reveal our completed powder room. With so many things going on in the last few months (oh you know..just had a baby, no biggie), I finally got around to photographing the space. I have to apologize in advance for the lack of pulled-back images and the over-abundance of detail shots. The way that the space is layed out made it very difficult for me to get a great overall view, and because my photography skills are still very basic, well, this is best I got.

We didn’t do anything drastic to this builder-basic powder room, other than freshening it up with a rich navy paint colour, an Ikea vanity hack, new lighting and some pretty accessories. What I love about a powder room is that since it’s usually such a small space, you can take liberties with the design that you probably wouldn’t in a larger room, achieving some great visual drama. I’m very happy with the final result of this little nautical beauty and can’t wait for our guests to enjoy the space.

Since I kept everything within a white and navy colour scheme, when it came time to accessorizing I felt the space really needed colour to give it some life. I was thinking pastels and a bit of green, so after chatting about it with Michael from Tonic Blooms – their “Katy” bouquet and “Arron” succulent were the missing links to really finish off the space. Nothing beats fresh flowers and greenery to add personality and bring a space to life. These hand-crafted blooms were delivered to my door in a flash and packaged to perfection – a beautiful package gets me every time!

Have you ever been disappointed with the whole flower-gifting experience? Usually when we want to send flowers it tends to be last minute and sometimes urgent. A few weeks ago,Tonic Blooms gave me the opportunity to try their on-demand flower service and send one of their in-season, high-quality bouquets to someone special. The ordering process couldn’t have been simpler and so much detail is put into their service. Flowers can be delivered within Toronto in less than two hours and includes free delivery. With just a handful of (gorgeous) selections to choose from, you can pick your favorite one (without getting overwhelmed by too many options), enter in your recipients information and in no time at all your loved one receives locally-sourced blooms that are sure to impress. Nothing makes someone’s day (or finishes off a powder room) quite like beautiful blooms!
