There is no such thing as too many pairs of jeans. My closet is full of a variety of styles that each serve a different purpose, and as a day to day basic you never get tired of putting on a well fitted pair. So when I was invited to visit a Jean Machine location near me and get fitted by one of their Masters of Denim (MOD), of course I jumped at the opportunity.

Before visiting the store I took an assessment of my closet to see what I was missing or needed to add to the assortment. I concluded that what I would be looking for was a pair of classy looking jeans that I could dress up, but that also had a bit of visual interest (aka minor distressing).

I met with Caitlyn for my personal styling appointment and we worked through a selection of brands and styles to find my perfect pair. Jean Machine offers the Perfect Pair Promise in order to guarantee maximum comfort and the best possible fit – definite essentials when purchasing a pair of jeans. I went into the appointment with a specific brand in mind that I’d been dying to try, but after trying on a few of their pairs I realized that they just wern’t the best fit for me. Instead I was introduced to a pair from Just Black, which I’m absolutely obsessed with now. I chose the Split Knee in Dark Denim which gave just the slight rips at the knee that I was looking for, but on a stylish, high-rise style that will be equally amazing worn casual with sneakers or dressed up with heels. These are the softest, most comfortable pair I probably own, and the slim, streamlined look of the high-rise waist has me rethinking every pair of mid or low rise that I own!

Petite gals – you need to own a pair of  high-rise jeans! They elongate the leg and draw the eye up and up, giving the appearance of a long, lean frame. Another added bonus is that this pair has a 28″ inseam which is perfect for us short girls. So of course I would highly recommend checking out Just Black at Jean Machine because they have totally changed my life. This pair also comes in black which would be equally amazing for winter, so this means I will more than likely be making my way back to a location sooner than later.

This month Jean Machine celebrated 40 years of providing Canadians with the best styles and selections of jeans. I remember shopping at Jean Machine nonstop when I was a teenager, so I was so happy to discover that they also carry styles fit for the 25-34 demographic (can you guess where I fit into that range?). I’ll definitely be keeping Jean Machine on my radar when I’m back in the market for my next pair of jeans, and so should you :)
