AN IMPROVE CANADA GUIDED TOUR

Last month I shared with you guys a little about my visit to Improve Canada – Canada’s largest home improvement centre (READ IT HERE). This huge reno and decor destination located in Vaughan has over 350 home improvement showrooms ready to cater to all of your needs, and my visit proved very inspirational for some big and small projects we are currently working on.

We’re presently in the preliminary stages of finishing our basement (so much planning), the powder room on our main floor has yet to be touched (it’s the only space not completed on that level), and we’re tackling the guest bedroom in the next couple months so it will be ready for when family can come back to visit again when restrictions are lifted.

With all these projects on the go, I was conveniently able to curate my visit to Improve Canada based on our specific needs. This is something you can do too by scheduling your complimentary personal shopping experience with the customer service team. When you call to book your appointment, the helpful team will find out what you are working on and will suggest and map out the showrooms that will be the most beneficial for you.

Here’s an overview of the showrooms I visited on my visit, so if you happen to require some of the same products or services for your next project – be sure to request them when booking your appointment.

First up was Build Wright Inc. (Unit 48). They are a construction and renovation company that specializes in all types of renos, from basements to kitchens to bathrooms. The first thing that appealed to me about this company was the friendliness of the consultants in their showroom. They were ready to help and answer any questions I had right from the get-go, and their showroom contained various examples of brands they work with to produce a high-quality job! They have been in the industry for over five years and have build their business on the core values of trust, and delivering a finished, quality product on time.

The next general contractor company I visited was Pyramid Home Improvement (Unit 111). This affordable, luxury renovation company offers a wide variety of services and products for any remodelling or reno project you may have. Their bright and airy showroom was full of high-quality displays of bathroom and kitchen products, as well as hardwood and tile samples to get the ideas flowing. Their energetic and friendly staff greeted us with a smile and explained the many services and projects they work on from full home renovations to small projects like fireplace makeovers or painting. One of their priorities when working with a client is staying on budget – and I felt this was a huge selling factor because we all know how reno’s can sometimes not exactly go as planned.

The House of Interior Design (Unit 81) is an innovative design firm that focuses on the clients personality and work/life balance to create perfectly designed interiors specifically for you. Their showroom is full of stunning pieces of furniture and artwork that are sure to inspire your next project. That pair of rust armchairs above are definitely on my wish list!

Feature Surface (Unit 328) is a design and build firm who focuses on customized feature design solutions for luxury interiors. Their showroom was full of a variety of floor and wall covering ideas that will really stretch your imagination and help you envision something truly amazing for your space. The textured wall coverings were my favourite, and provided some great inspiration for my own spaces. They work with their clients every step of the way from project design to planning to execution, and have a long list of luxury clients that have trusted them with their projects.

Antique Mosaics (Unit 182) is a beautiful and meticulously organized showroom sharing their large selection of natural stone mosaic products. Established in 2019, their product applications range from back splashes to bathrooms, fireplace surrounds, and interior or exterior accent walls. Their natural stone mosaics are artistically hand-crafted and bring a natural, authentic look to your project. Definitely book an appointment at this showroom if you’re looking for natural stone products at a competitive price point!

If you’re looking for a truly luxurious experience in custom furniture, a visit to Art Boulle (Unit 41) is a must!. This very unique decor company only works with the finest materials and trained expert craftsmen to create one of a kind pieces for their prestigious clients. Their pieces are not just furniture – but artwork in of themselves – and they strive to provide their clients with bespoke pieces tailored to suit their unique needs. Everywhere I turned in the showroom I was blown away by the attention to detail and level of luxury each piece exuded. I was particularly impressed with their range of custom doors that I have definitely filed away for when we’re ready to replace our front door one day in the future!

Artistic Mosaic (Unit 70) was the next stop on our Improve Canada tour, and it truly got the creative juices flowing with their jaw-dropping mosaic wall murals! From florals, to geometric patterns, and everything in-between – I quickly found myself imaging which bathroom wall I could install one of their flowery mosaic murals on. They are a leading supplier of not only glass and marble wall mosaics, but they also cater to all of your luxury swimming pool needs – and if I had a swimming pool (nudge nudge wink wink hubby), I would cover every single pool surface in one of their glittery, glamorous products!

If you’re looking for something truly unique and green-friendly, Harmony Decor (Unit 144) has got you covered. They specialize in eco-wall coverings and designer glass products that definitely make a bold statement. One of the products they specialize in are silk plaster liquid wall coverings made from 100% natural components that are available in a variety of colour options.

I don’t want to say I saved the best for last, but my visit to Glam Décor (Unit 137) proved to be themost up my design alley and satisfied all my curiosities for luxury textures, fabrics, and romantic classical style. Their range of fabric wall coverings, mosaic medallions, rugs, and custom furniture for the most discerning client is a sensory experience of soft and silky textures, and sparkly glamorous accents. If you’re looking for flocked damask wallpaper in every pastel shade, or just wanting to add some luxurious European flare to your space, be sure to book an appointment at this showroom.

As you can see, I only scratched the surface of the 350+ showrooms so there is still so much more to see on a future visit, but the ones I did visit gave me inspiration and so much vision to execute our own home decor projects. I highly recommend scheduling your visit to Improve Canada whether you’re currently working on a big renovation project, or even if you have a small task that requires just the right person to complete the job. You’re sure to find everything you need at Improve Canada and more! Feel free to let me know if you plan to visit or how your experience went – I can’t wait to hear!
