Now that the weather has cooled off a bit and we’re well into the heart of Fall, it’s time to rock the rich, deep colours of the season. I love jewel tones of emerald, amethyst, sapphire and ruby, and how they give off maximum impact and sophistication.
This shirtdress from VIPme has quickly become a Fall favorite that can be worn and layered various ways well into the colder months ahead. Throw on a pair of black tights, a grey blazer and you’re all set for winter at the office. Or dress it down with white sneakers and an oversized cardigan for an easy weekend look. The classic check pattern is reminiscent of a well-know British plaid that exudes classic, preppy vibes making it an absolute must-have fall wardrobe staple.

The puffed sleeves are just the right length and the shoulders fit me perfectly. Sometimes the length of a dress gives away that it’s not proportioned for a petite frame, but the midi length of this skirt falls at just the right spot and gives off a really great lengthening effect. The waist is a bit wider than I would have preferred, but that’s the great thing about a shirtdress. You can add a belt and voila! – problem solved! I’m wearing the self-fabric belt that came with the dress in the images above, but I’ve also paired it with a beige elastic-style belt that cinches in the waist for a much more fit and flare look.

You look ravishing! I fell in love with the dress and tried to order it plus some others however, they don’t ship to Canada, this was discouraging. Any suggestions?
