Having your first baby is full of joys, challenges and major learning curves. By the time you’ve made it to the toddler years, you’re probably feeling very proud of yourself and confident that you’ve earned your stripes as ‘mama’. And then you do it all over again. As my due date quickly approaches I’m feeling more and more unprepared for the sleepless nights and undivided attention my new baby will need and deserve. Two years isn’t a long time, but once you’ve been blessed with a very good and independent toddler, starting from the beginning again can seem a bit overwhelming. To combat my feelings of apprehension (combined with a serious case of nesting), I’m working very hard to get every project on my to-do list checked-off and completed ASAP. I think once all of the organizing and home projects are finished, I can feel confident in giving my new baby all the time and attention he or she undoubtedly deserves.

In the meantime though, I still want to enjoy the experience of being pregnant for a few more weeks.  To capture every last moment I’ve been taking daily bumpfies with Thyme Maternity’s new #BumpfieApp. It will be great to look back months later and see the physical changes that go hand-in-hand with growing a baby. The app is free and provides moms-to-be fun and useful features that will allow them to carry their pregnancy memories in the palms of their hands. Time to take my Monday bumpfie!
