EYE SPY WITH PEARLE VISION

Pearl Vision Eye Exam
Brought to you by Pearle Vision and TheCo

In a little over a month school will be back in session – and although no one around here wants to think about hitting the books just yet – it’s certainly the right time to get those back-to-school items checked off the to-do list. We like having our yearly physical, 6-month dental check-up, and routine eye exam* all completed well before school starts to make sure we are in our best health to tackle another year of learning.

Last week we visited our local Pearle  Vision location for my son’s eye exam and not only did he have his eyes checked by a qualified Doctor of Optometry, but he had an engaging and personal experience that left him happy and feeling good about his clean bill of health. From the minute the doctor greeted us, she immediately connected with Massimo to gauge his level of comfort and do all she could to ensure he was relaxed and comfortable. Naturally a child might be a bit hesitant about a visit to any doctor, but immediately I could see that Massimo felt relaxed and trusted that the doctor was going to take good care of him for the duration of our visit.

And if you asked him the best part of the whole appointment, he would say getting to choose a sticker that was definitely well-deserved after a successful exam. I loved how the doctor took a real personal interest in Massimo and genuinely made him feel special, instead of being just another number in the waiting room. He certainly appreciated it too because after we left he asked when we would be coming back. Always a good sign when the kids WANT to see the eye doctor :)

Even though he didn’t need a prescription we couldn’t resist playing with a few different looks and checking them out in the kid-approved mirror. Pearle Vision has a fantastic selection of quality frames and sunglasses from brands like Ray-Ban, Coach, and Prada, and Massimo ended up finding the perfect pair of sunglasses by Julbo that he just couldn’t live without (No doubt they’ll be coming with us on all our summer adventures)! And of course, while he was trying on sunglasses, I may have tried on a few as well and also couldn’t leave without a classic pair of Prada’s.
