Now that it’s officially Spring (at least according to the calendar),we’re finally looking forward to getting out of the house a bit more with the kids. Winter has had us indoors way too long, so we’re getting really excited about planning some day trips, park dates, and visits to local attractions.  Tomorrow we have some plans in the city with the kids and friends, and I’m really hoping the weather will cooperate (snow just not letting up).

While a day trip with older kids requires minimal prep and packing, it’s a completely different story when it comes to taking toddlers and babies out of the house for the whole day. Usually the night before, I’m stressing out about ensuring we have enough diapers, wipes, snacks, change of clothes, bottles, bibs…and the list goes on and on. Although daunting, keeping a checklist handy for impromptu or last-minute plans can really take the stress out of what should be an otherwise fun and enjoyable day with the family.

When it comes to feeding babies on the go, having the right equipment is key to keeping everything running smoothly. One very important essential never missing from my diaper is my nursing cover. I always have this handy for feeding baby no matter where we are.  And now that my little girl is 8 months old, we can’t forget her actual meals, snacks and everything that goes with it, which are necessary to survive a long day away from home.

Always excited to discover new gear for my little ones, award-winning Australian baby essentials brand b.box so kindly sent us some of their innovative products that are perfect for on-the-go families like us. BPA, phthalates and PVC free – these fun and functional baby essentials are most importantly safe, as well as just way too cute!

The travel bib and spoon is probably the best idea I’ve seen for keeping the essentials compact and easy to clean up. When opened, the small zip pouch produces an attached bib with a built-in catch-all. It also has enough space to hold your cutlery and a few small snacks. It easily wipes clean or you can just fold up the mess, zip back up and away you go, leaving the cleaning until you get home.  And can we talk about this spoon and fork set! THIS is what a fork should look like for tiny little hands just learning to handle utensils. And a compact travel container keeps them clean and ready to use whenever you need them.

Their bowl + straw set is also the perfect travel companion for eating on the go. This 3-in-one design serves as a drinking cup, a soup bowl, and a snack container. And with a handy lid, it packs away perfectly for eating on the road. The large handles make it easy for baby to grip, and the non-slip base will keep it in its place instead of sliding off the table.
