I may not have a traditional 9 to 5, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t occasions when modern, versatile workwear is totally called for. As a blogger, meetings with brands, agencies, and attending events are all the order of the day – not to mention my gig as a Personal Stylist where my clients look to me for advice and direction on how to dress for work.

The definition of a “word dress code” has evolved for the modern women, and I’m so happy to have partnered with Ann Taylor on their ‘Let’s Work Together’ fall campaign to share how a wardrobe of possibilities are available for both work and play, from desk to dinner, and for all around the clock.

What I love about Ann Taylor is that the clothing is polished and versatile, yet totally appropriate for both on and off duty. In today’s post I’ve taken the Ann Taylor bow-blouse and cardigan (both in petite sizing of course) and shared two beautiful ways they can be styled. The first look is polished and chic, yet still fun and modern. I love how fresh this yellow dress is for Fall, and how appropriate would this look be for a lunch meeting or attending a brand event?

For the second look, I again paired the blouse and sweater with a pair of plaid leggings and a punch of colour with some bold accessories. I love how comfortable these pants are, and the work life balance was definitely taken into consideration here since this outfit seamlessly goes from day to night with little effort required.

Since 1954 Ann Taylor has perfected the definition of the work wardrobe, all while evolving and adapting to the changing needs and roles of the modern woman. Whatever your definition of workwear requires, you’re sure to find a wardrobe of possibilities at Ann Taylor.

PETITE FIT NOTES:
– I’m wearing Petite 00 in all four Ann Taylor pieces, and again I am 4’11” and 90lbs (for reference).
– The dress fits very nicely and while there is a bit of room under the arms, layering the blouse underneath makes up for any extra space.
– The bow-blouse is just perfect and I love how versatile it is. The arm length is perfectly proportioned for petites and it’s the ideal piece for all your Fall layering.
– I’m obsessed with the cardigan and how it can transition from a sweater to a coat depending on your needs. Tip: I love the sleeves scrunched up for on a petite frame.
– Last but not least, the plaid leggings are a must in any ultra-petite gal’s closet. While I find most Ann Taylor Petite 00 pants fit on the larger side, these leggings fit like a glove and felt like they were designed just for me!
