Every once in a while even the prettiest rooms need a little refresh. You may have seen our baby girl’s nursery in the June 2016 issue of Style At Home Magazine, or when it was first revealed here on the blog, and as you know it was pretty much perfect. But a few weeks ago we received the most gorgeous floral chandelier from Crowning Glory Decor and we knew it definitely needed a place of its own in the nursery.

Gemma turned one last month so it seemed like the appropriate time to transition the space to pre-toddler. I instantly fell in love with the sophisticated design of this floral crown chandelier and how it brought a fresh, feminine touch to the space (something this gender-neutral room was seriously lacking). The floating flowers look magical and serene, (like a scene straight out of the Secret Garden) and give baby Gemma something ultra-pretty to look at during afternoon nap-time. If you’re concerned about how the flowers appear to be within her reach, don’t fret – the chandelier was only lowered for photography purposes, then was raised back up (and out of reach) for permanent use.

Designer Natalie Trivett custom designed our chandelier to coordinate with the room’s colour scheme. Each Crowning Glory chandelier is one-of-a-kind and can be custom-tailored to your specific preferences. Our version is the single tier crown chandelier with floating flowers in hues of autumn orange and white – the perfect contrast to our mint green walls.

I’m loving how this one addition to the nursery has already given it a more grown-up feel – not that I want my baby to be all grown up – but now the space reflects who she has become – our little crowning glory!
