I know that the fringe trend has been around for a while now, but it certainly has taken me some time to embrace it. Not that I wasn’t a fan, but because I wasn’t quite sure how to incorporate it into my wardrobe. Lately I’ve been on a ‘vest’ kick and have snatched up a few to help me add more layers into my fall style. When I saw this mushroom colour fringe vest from Canadian based Mayberrys a few weeks ago, I immediately knew that this was how I was going to add the fringe – by getting it in my favorite piece of the season: The Vest!

I love that it’s a neutral colour, keeping the boho style a bit more subdued, than in-your-face. I rarely embrace the bohemian look but after putting this outfit together I think it just may be my go-to fall weekend look. Although the vest is casual and relaxed, I think this frilly, embroidered blouse also from Mayberrys, elevates it to a more sophisticated version of the style. And what finishes off the outfit? The vest is the exact same colour as my favorite fall booties from last year – I love a good matchy-match!
